For new Strategy and details of tips and tricks regarding clash of clans are available here, in this article we will tell you about “How to Stop Your Opponent from Cheating in Clan War – Clash of Clans Strategy” and why it is very important for your in clan war. You can use this Clash of Clans Strategy and attack on your opponent and win with lots of trophies and loot.

In one of our recent Clan Wars we faced a Clan that was heavily cheating. On occasion you will see one or another player do something that doesn’t seem fair, but it’s always hard to tell. I’m very disappointed to see a whole Clan cheating very obviously, so I’m here to make a post about it.

Cheating in Clan War – How To Tell?

I will not be talking about specific tools and methods to cheat – they violate the TOS of the game and are highly unfair. Please also note that all comments that link tutorials to cheat or anything will get deleted right away.

Cheating has been an issue since Clan War was introduced back in 2014. Back then it was a glitch that made simulated attacks possible, called “Ghosting”. This issue was fixed after quite some time, but cheating hasn’t been removed completely.

In fact, in my personal opinion and also from other Clashers I talk with, cheating has become more and more of a problem. I’m not the person to point fingers at Supercell and be naive to say they don’t address the problem – I’m sure they do, but it’s probably something difficult to accomplish. Cheaters use tools that are hard to detect, but I don’t want to get too deep into the technical issues.

Cheater 3rd Party Tool Explained:

Once a single attack is triggered versus a base, the 3rd party tool will show everything that is within your Clan Castle and also your Trap positions. The cheating attacker is able to practice as many attacks versus your base until he knows how to 3 Star it and then do the “real” attack

What I want to show you in this post is how you can see if your Clan War opponent cheats and what you can actually do about it. But first, I would like to hear your opinion:

How to Detect Cheating

In dubio pro reo – when in doubt, for the accused. It can be hard to gather strong evidence against these players (I don’t call them Clashers). You may see some things happen that make you really think the player is cheating, but, in the end, you’re never able to prove it. I see a lot of people accuse others of cheating and there are many times this is not correct – with billions of daily attacks, I’m sure there are a lot funny coincidences, but if I’m in a Clan War and see 40 of them at once, it’s hard to look the other way.

Here is the pattern that will show you there is cheating going on in Clan War:

  • Horrible First “Scout” Attacks. They don’t show any relevant information about the base attacked and seem wasted.
  • Very strong second attacks that get 3 Stars and avoid Traps, etc. in a very obvious way.

Unfortunately, I have to say that this happens with Asian clans a lot more than other. I don’t blame all of them in general, but that’s the emerging pattern.

If you see this pattern happening in your Clan War you know almost for sure what’s going on.

Scouting attacks with just a few Barbarians that maybe trigger some stuff on the outside:

Often a very low number is attacking a much higher number – like #25 of their clan attacks #8 of your clan. If a clan uses scouting attacks, they are at least trying to pull Clan Castle Troops or something, but if they only drop a couple of troops and then cancel the attack it’s very likely they’re cheating.

This poor attack attempts to make it seem the second attack is the real one to prevent all surprise features of your base. It’s a cheap try to make it look normal, but nothing more. If you see a couple of these attacks in the beginning of the Clan War, you can just skip it. It will be almost impossible to win this Clan War.

With this knowledge you will see it happening before you invest the expensive troops for the attacks.

What To Do When Your Opponent Is Cheating?

I recommend 2 things you need to do – report the problem and make the best out of it.

Report Supercell Cheating!

So many complain about cheating opponents, but if we really want Supercell to get active against them we need to make them care – the best way to do that is to use the support form and report the problem:

Make The Best Out Of It

The War will be lost – that’s almost guaranteed. Now you can only try to make the best out of it. Farm the Clan War with cheap troops to gather some War Stars for your Achievement and Clan Perk progression:

Use a cheap army that can get you 1 star so you receive the the War Bonus. This will not make up for the trouble, but at least you will get some loot.

Unfortunately, there’s little we can do about a cheating Clan War opponent right now. I’m sure Supercell will address this problem in 2016 and we might also see lots of bans. I don’t want to accuse Supercell of looking the other direction, but from a technical view this problem is hard to pin down. All popular online multiplayer games have problems with cheaters and Clash of Clans is no different. It happens from time to time and is frustrating, but in the end the fair playing Clashers are still the biggest majority in the game. Try to not take it personally. I only pity players who cheat because they don’t seem to able to win any other way.
